Welcome to RTRworks!

Health teachers and educators – you can receive $450 and free materials for teaching Reducing the Risk: Building Skills to Prevent Pregnancy, STD & HIV, an evidence-based curriculum to prevent pregnancy, STD and HIV for 9th to 12th-grade students.

The RTRworks! project is partnering with teachers to implement the curriculum in the fall of 2010.

Each participant in the project will receive:

A $450 stipend

$200 worth of RTR materials, including:

  • an RTR curriculum (Teacher’s Guide)
  • student workbooks for your RTRworks! study class
  • a supplemental activity kit, which includes all the material you need to successfully teach Reducing the Risk:
    • 5 lesson reinforcement posters to enhance teacher effectiveness
    • 3 traffic light posters to help students assess risk levels
    • 15 risk behavior cards to spotlight risky behavior
    • 40 color-coded roleplay cards
If you are a teacher or a school administrator and would like more information about participating or promoting the program in your school or district, visit the project information, timelines and the Participant Agreement page. Complete and submit the Participation Agreement to be considered for inclusion in the RTRworks! Project.
